Welcome to Cosy Corner Pet Hotel – Thank you for choosing us to look after your small pet. This Welcome Pack explains everything you need to know before your pet’s stay, including what to bring, how drop-off works, and what you can expect while they’re with me.
1. About the Boarding Service

I provide a safe, calm, and comfortable home-from-home environment for small pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, tortoises, and other small animals.
2. What to Bring
Please ensure you bring the following items:
· Your pet’s usual food (enough for the full stay)
· Any medication with clear instructions
· Bedding or toys (optional)
· Carrier or secure transport box
· Completed Pet Information Form
· Any special care notes
· Favourite treats (optional)
· A familiar blanket or hideout (optional)
You may provide all of your pet’s belongings but I cannot be held responsible for damage or loss.
3. Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Drop off and pick up time will be agreed when the booking is confirmed. This can be flexible to suit your requirements but once a time is agreed, please arrive on time so I can ensure a smooth transition for your pet. If you need to change the time please let me know at the earliest opportunity.
4. During Your Pet’s Stay
Your pet will enjoy:
· A clean, secure, and comfortable enclosure
· Fresh food, water and hay (where applicable)
· Daily health checks.
· Daily exercise with enrichment/play in secure pens (indoor or outdoor weather-permitting).
· Daily spot-cleaning and hay/bedding top-up. Full hutch clean every 2-3 days.
· A calm, quiet environment
· Temperature-controlled environment with heating and air conditioning.
I will send updates and photos if you have consented to them.
5. Health & Safety
· All pets must arrive in good health and free from parasites.
· Any existing medical conditions must be disclosed before the booking.
· I reserve the right to refuse a booking if a pet appears unwell on arrival.
· Rabbits must be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and RHD1/RHD2. Proof of vaccination is required prior to boarding.
· Tortoises must be healthy and free from respiratory infections.
· You must inform me of any behavioural issues in the Pet Information Form.
· Pets from other households are never mixed.
· If your pet becomes unwell, I will contact you immediately.
· In an emergency, I may take your pet to a vet if you agree to cover any veterinary costs.
6. Food & Diet
· You must provide your pet’s usual dry food ensuring there is enough for the duration of their stay. I will provide fresh greens/vegetables/fruits daily.
· If the food you have supplied runs out during your pet’s stay, I can purchase additional food which will be added to the final bill amount.
· Any special dietary needs must be clearly explained before drop-off.
7. Updates & Communication
I’m always happy to provide updates. If you have opted in to photo updates, you will receive:
· Photos
· Short messages about how your pet is doing
If you prefer no updates, that’s absolutely fine too.
8. Booking & Payment Information
· A booking is only confirmed once written confirmation is received via email or message.
· Full payment is due on collection, unless otherwise agreed.
· Prices are listed on our website and may change at any time, but confirmed bookings will not be affected by any price changes.
· Accepted payment methods: [cash or bank transfer].
9. Cancellations
Please refer to the full Cancellation Policy (please request this if required). In summary:
· Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the booking start date will not incur a fee.
· Cancellations made within 48 hours may be charged at 50% of the booking fee.
· No-shows or same-day cancellations may be charged at the full booking rate.
10. Liability
· I cannot be held liable for illness, injury, or death unless caused by proven negligence.
· Pets are boarded at the owner’s risk.
· You are responsible for any damage your pet causes to property or equipment.
11. Data Protection
Your personal information is handled in accordance with my Privacy Notice and UK GDPR. I only collect information necessary to provide the service.
12. Agreement
By making a booking, you confirm that:
· You are the legal owner of the pet(s).
· All information provided is accurate and truthful.
· You agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
